The social evening included dinner, a high-end shopping experience, mini makeovers, a silent auction, comedy show and raffles, but also served an important fundraising purpose. All proceeds raised will be used to benefit The Center for Breast Health at Good Samaritan Hospital, which provides comprehensive, state-of-the-art cancer care, from screenings to survivorship.
The program, which was hosted by News 12 reporter Rachel Spotts, featured Dr. Mary Leahy, CEO of Bon Secours Charity Health System, Dr. Karen Karsif, medical director of The Center for Breast Health, and breast cancer survivor Stephanie Wander. Comedian Robin Fox provided the night's entertainment.
“October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, is an ideal time for our community to come together to support local access to state-of-the-art healthcare,” said Karsif. “Breast health is every woman’s concern. The more we all know about breast disease, the better prepared we are to achieve optimal health.”
